AGORA Ministries serves in the lowest income, lowest fed, highest violent crime area of San Antonio. Our dropout rates and education rates are also the highest in San Antonio. Through the leading of the Holy Spirit our inner-city missionary staff has been able to be apart and see life change in students and families! It is hard work but with glorious and eternal results!
When a military operation is of great importance and the demands of the mission require a physical presence of soldiers, military leaders will often use the term “boots on the ground.” This lets it be known that the commission will be up close and personal; whether it be a conflict or humanitarian aid someone’s hands and feet will reach out and engage in a palpable way. Changing the lives of those in need demand such a commitment by ministers who are called to serve in the trenches alongside, hand-in-hand with those they seek to share the life changing Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that in order to thrive in this vision, our missionaries need their own clean, affordable, and private space to call home. We are asking for your help in achieving this housing goal so that they may increase their presence in the community and increasing their effectiveness. In 2019 we have had 6 staff living in the community we serve.
This project will consist of constructing affordable housing on property Agora already owns. The budget for these homes is $155,000 and we are actively looking for donations in the form of cash gifts, building/construction materials, or labor. Please contact us for additional details on how to become a partner in bringing our ministers into the heart of the mission fields.
Matt 25:31-46 is the story of the sheep and goats. Jesus makes it clear that His people will serve those who are thirsty, hungry, in physical distress, strangers, and in need of clothes. Our staff missionaries are serving the people Jesus describes every single day. Would you consider donating so that we give our missionaries an affordable place to serve those in need?
