WHAT WE STAND FOR
The values that drive everything we do in the inner-city of San Antonio — from our kids programs to our mission trips, these are non-negotiable.
Since the late 1980s, AGORA has been on a mission to share the love and hope of Christ in high-need communities. These six core values are the foundation of every program, every relationship, and every life changed through this ministry.
CHRIST
CENTERED
The Message Comes First
We must keep the message of Christ first. We will not compromise in the sharing of the only truly eternal hope — that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that eternal life is found in Him. We will work with and communicate appropriately with other organizations but never forget we are on a mission to change the world for Christ.
LOVE
Words and Actions
We will show love in representing Christ. We know that the love and grace of Christ is the greatest, most powerful message in history, and we will share it in a gracious and friendly way — not just in our words but in our actions.

Our Best for His Glory
We strive for excellence in our organization. We are willing to do things that are messy, that are not numerically successful, that are not traditional in approach. But we will always give our absolute best efforts when serving the Lord, because He deserves nothing less.

Life Change Through Relationship
AGORA is a relational ministry. We believe that life-long change requires discipleship relationships — the kind that are built through showing up consistently, investing deeply, and walking alongside students and families through every season of life.

Meeting People Where They Are
We stay relevant to our community. We understand and develop activities that connect with the people we serve. Currently serving an overwhelmingly Hispanic population on San Antonio’s Westside, we adapt to the unique needs, culture, and challenges of our community.
SERVANTHOOD
Others Before Ourselves
Putting others first, actively loving and serving them as a reflection of Christ — not seeking personal recognition or success. Jesus said “the greatest among you is the one who serves,” and we live that out daily in every program, every outreach, and every relationship.
