My name is Edgar Figueroa, and I was born in Mexico. For the past 25 years, I have served as a full-time missionary in various parts of the world, including Spain, Morocco, Venezuela, Brazil, Türkiye, Romania, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Mexico, and the United States.
My calling to missions began at the age of 14, when I clearly heard God say, “Go to the nations and make disciples.” Since that moment, I have been passionate about sharing who God is and witnessing His character being formed in people’s lives.
My missionary journey began in 1995 with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), where I was involved with the King’s Kids program. We traveled throughout Mexico, using performing arts and sports as tools to reach children and youth. Performing arts has always played a significant role in my life—I was part of a large theater and dance company for 10 years, ministering internationally through creative expression and proclaiming the Gospel through the arts.
In 2000, I completed my Discipleship Training School (DTS) with YWAM and continued to serve with the organization for 12 years. During that time, I was actively involved in training, leading outreach teams, and mentoring students from all over the world as they engaged in short-term missions.
I am a graduate of Leadership Training School, Bible School, and Performing Arts School.
In 2015, God led me to join Agora Ministries, where I have now served for 10 years. I currently serve as the Director of Ministries and Discipleship Pastor. My vision is to create an environment where both staff and students can cultivate a real and practical relationship with God, develop Christlike character, and experience true supernatural transformation—impacting both the Westside community and the nations.
