AGORA Ministries, Inc. (“AGORA,” “we,” “us”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1989 and based at 1807 Centennial Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78211. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to visitors to agoraministries.com, donors, and participants in AGORA programs, including AGORA Kidz, AGORA Youth, Hope Pantry, RCT, the barber college, workforce development, the microschool, and the AGORA School of Missions and Leadership.
Information we collect
- Website visitors. IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar technical data collected automatically through cookies and standard web analytics.
- Donors. Name, mailing address, email address, phone number, donation amount, designated fund, and giving history.
- Program participants. Information needed to enroll and serve you, which varies by program and may include name, contact details, household size, emergency contacts, and program-specific records.
- Correspondence. Messages you send us through forms, email, or phone.
Payment information
AGORA does not store, process, or transmit credit or debit card numbers. Online donations are handled by third-party payment processors, currently including Amplify (Bonterra), PayPal, and Square. Card data is collected directly by those processors under their own privacy policies and PCI-DSS obligations. We receive only the transaction record: donor name, amount, date, fund designation, and processor fees.
Financial records and accounting
AGORA maintains its accounting records in QuickBooks Online, operated by Intuit Inc. Donation and expense records — including donor names and amounts — are stored there for bookkeeping, audit, and IRS reporting purposes. Access is limited to authorized staff and AGORA’s accountants.
How we use your information
- To process and acknowledge donations and issue contribution receipts
- To deliver the programs and services you have requested
- To communicate about AGORA’s work, events, and needs
- To meet legal, tax, grant, and audit obligations
- To operate, secure, and improve our website
How we share your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us operate — payment processors, email delivery services, accounting software, and website hosting — and only to the extent needed to do that work.
- Grant funders and auditors, in aggregate or de-identified form wherever possible. Where a funder requires participant-level reporting, we disclose only what the grant agreement requires.
- Legal authorities, when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety of a person.
Children’s information
Several AGORA programs serve minors. We collect information about a child only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and only what is needed to enroll and safely serve that child. We do not knowingly collect information from children through this website. A parent or guardian may review, correct, or request deletion of their child’s information by contacting us.
How long we keep information
Donation and financial records are retained for at least seven years to satisfy IRS and audit requirements. Program records are retained as long as needed to serve the participant and to meet grant and legal obligations. Website analytics data is retained on a rolling basis.
How we protect information
We limit access to personal information to staff and contractors who need it, use reputable vendors with their own security programs, and protect our accounts with strong authentication. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, or stop sending you communications. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time. Some records — particularly donation records required for tax reporting — cannot be deleted.
